Committee Bulletin - September 2019

End of Track Season

The end of the club’s outdoor track season drew to an exciting and busy close at the end of August.

The Bank Holiday Open Meeting was well attended and went very well despite the heat. This was followed by the Twilight Meeting on the Friday where a host of national and international class athletes competed in an exciting atmosphere. This meeting saw the first ever sub 4-minute mile in Kent and our very own Lewis Church won the triathlon event. More details are available on the website.

The success of both of these meetings would not have been achieved without the volunteers who offer up their time, so thank you to everyone that has helped.

Brian and Dawn Hall who have coordinated the entries for the Open and Development Meetings have decided that after 8 years it is time to hand over to someone else. Please let me know if you would be able to help with this role. The first meeting will be the on Easter Bank Holiday so there is plenty of time to find out about the role.

Congratulations to the Vets Team for ending a very successful season with the Southern Counties Veterans League title for both the women’s and men’s’ squads.

And congratulations to the SAL and BAL teams who both achieved promotion in their leagues. For the BAL team it is their second promotion in two years.

Fundraising

Easyfundraising partner with over 4,000 retailers, this means TAC raises money every time our supporters buy online, whether booking a holiday, ordering groceries, insuring a car or ordering a takeaway. However, Amazon has changed the way you can raise donations, you can still search for Amazon on easyfundraising or the App but you will then be directed to AmazonSmile. The Club has now registered with AmazonSmile so you can continue to raise funds for the club through Amazon. Any problem please let the Club Secretary know.

43 supporters have raised £2,130. Thank you.
